Wedding Gift Idea

Wedding Gift Idea

Our family has been invited to a wedding and I have been working on this project for a couple of weeks now.

The invite came in this beautiful blue envelope which I actually carefully took apart and cut up to use as the back ground card stock in the project. I then got out my markers and to my excitement I was able to determine that it was really close to the Not quite navy color. So that’s when all sorts of different squares where designed.  I have lots of different squares made that I was having a difficult decision on which to use. The patterned paper in the corners I got from MDS.  I printed off the designer paper from the not quite navy and cut it into the square.  Behind the posted notes on the project are actually pictures of the loving couple as well.

Project-Wedding

I went to my local craft store and found this material to use as the background of the whole picture, the sheer ribbon, the veil, the bottle caps (to spell out love), the flowers, and some etching cream.

Project-Wedding etch

To etch the hearts on the glass: I had a sizzix die with hearts so I cut those out on contact paper and placed the contact paper inside the glass and then used the etching cream to get the look.

This project is in a shadow box, so I was thinking that after the wedding they could put in some small items from the wedding like the garter or dried flower stems from her wedding bouquet to place at the bottom.
