Today’s inspiration was made for the Blooms & Butterflies Challenge BB-5. The colors used are:  Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi.

I made this card for my Dad’s Birthday.

Happy Big Day

I used the Bakers Twine and tied a bow in the button. I used the white bakers twine and colored it with the Wild Wasabi ink pad super easy.

Guest Designer Joan Gattozzi

Joan’s card

Today’s beautiful cards were created by Joan Gattozzi.  She lives in Ocala, Florida and is a part of our Stampin’ Up family, as a demonstrator.  I love learning from fellow demonstrators and thank her for our friendship.

Please click on the “Joan’s Card” above to view her cards.

The butterfly card, is a slider card, that I think is beautiful and is made from the set “Best of Butterflies” as part of the 25 year promotion thru Stampin’ Up!. She punched the butterflies with the Elegant Butterfly punch.  Her other card is done with the new Wildflower bundle from the Annual catalog.  Her tip in making this card is to stamp the image first, cut it out with one of the framelits and then use the embossing folder.

Thanks Joan for submitting me your lovely cards and for the tip.  I look forward to seeing more of your creations. You have inspired a new project for me to try.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!

Today’s card were designed for the Blooms and Butterflies Color Challenge using only Black and White card stock and ink. To view the rest of the design teams cards Click Here!

My first card was made using the “By the Tide” stamp set.  I used black card stock and stamped using craft white ink.  I also jazzed it up a bit using dazzling diamonds and a few rhinestones.  The fish turned out really cool I think using the dazzling diamonds it reminded me of the shimmer on fish.  I was thinking of giving this one to my dad for Father’s Day.  What do you think?

My second card was made using the Best of 25 years set “Best of Brides & Babies”. I used white card and black card stock for this one.  I stamp the Bride and Groom image using the Stazon or you can use Black ink pads.  I then masked the image and sponged around it using the black. I also used the oval framelits to create the oval on the front of the card to put the image in the window.  I also used 2 framelits to create the black circle to give it a more finished edge. I also used the smaller one to stamp “To Have and to Hold” and added a bit of white ribbon.  I also embossed the front of the card using Square Lattice folder.  I finished it with a bit of the Tea Lace Paper Doilies.
